Jimmy "B" Biggins: My Bio

Jimmy "B" Biggins

I moved to Boston from Akron, Ohio in 1974. I joined a band with some friends when I got there including Jeff Golub. In '77 Jeff and I had a band called Gypsy in Boston that was very popular and alot of fun.
In 1980 I joined Kate Taylor's band on Martha's Vineyard and also got to play with James Taylor .That was a great time and great experience for me
I hooked up with Jonathan Edwards in the early 80's thru a good friend Kenny White.Through Kenny, I also met and had the privilege of playing and recording with Cheryl Wheeler.
Kenny and I have stayed friends thru the years and have worked together including tv jingles in New York where Kenny is a writer.
During this time in New york, Jeff Golub gave me a call and said he was putting together Avenue Blue...We recorded four albums together as Avenue Blue..This proved to be one of the best Smooth Jazz bands to come out of New York in the 90's.
Another group I was privileged to meet were the great musicians coming thru Connecticut by way of a club called Shaboo which was run by David "Lefty" Foster. My early years in Connecticut were filled with great music in that club.
James Cotton, Matt Murphy, James Montgomery, The fabulous Rhinestones, and many many more.
I have been blessed to play with many fine players through the years like Matt Murphy,
Jeff golub, Phillipe Saisse, John Tropea,
Steve Cropper, Leon Pendarvis, The Commitments, The Blues Bros. , Al Copley,
Mike Clark, Mike Finnegan, Jeff Pevar, Eddie Floyd, Danny Gottlieb, Lou Marini, Alan Rubin, Christine Ohlman, The Temptations, The Drifters, Mary Wells, Bruce Willis, Joe Perry, Michael Bolton, Delbert McClinton, the Uptown Horns, John Colby, James Montgomery, ..and many more..and I'm just getting started...
